More of our Australian gomphidae genera confusion: this species is also known as Austrogomphus (Pleiogomphus) divaricatus. Based on what I’ve read, Pleiogomphus will probably be a subgenus of Austrogomphus.
This is endemic to Northewrn Queensland and we found two examples on our FNQ 2022 trip. The “fork” refers to the forked tips of the male appendages which are black.
