Frustratingly, I find two different species names for this beast, new to me from FNQ 2022. The [Ed: decidedly poor] Theischinger/Hawking book and iNaturalist uses Aciagrion fragile whilst the Atlas of Living Australia and the esteemed Tillyard, who I think described it, use Aciagrion fragilis. I hate it when that happens. 😀 It has to be said that in Tillyard’s day, it was classified as Ischnura fragilis. For now, I’ll go with the book and iNat.
I saw a single example at Innot Hot Springs during FNQ 2022 and snagged just two poor, very distant shots which are here just for the record.
