There are some 450 species in North America. Since I have visited the States just once looking for odonata, and that was a very late season tourist trip rather than a dedicated dragonflying trip, I have just six species in my catalogue so a simple list of those is all that makes sense.
Zygoptera (Damselflies)
- Enallagma civile (Familiar Bluet)
- Ischnura posita (Fragile Forktail)
- Ischnura verticalis (Eastern Forktail)
- Hetaerina titia (Smoky Rubyspot)
