We were told that this stunningly beautiful creature is the most common damselfly in Singapore. Common it may be but how could anyone tire of admiring such a delightful creation as this. I’ve read an opinion that, in Europe, the Orange White-legged Damselfly (Platycnemis acutipennis), is our most attractive but it pales just a little when compared to this. Unusually, the female is painfully similar to the male.
Apparently, these occur in Cambodia as well, though we didn’t see any there.
