Formerly known as Austroaeschna forcipata [which it is in V1 of Theischninger/Hawking], this is a handsomely marked species that is endemic to the coastal rainforests of northeast Queensland, Australia.
We met this character several times on our FNQ 2022 trip. All the settled examples were female and I only saw the males flying. I managed to snag one decent flight shot.
