In the UK we are used to seeing Coenagrion pulchellum (Variable Damselfly) with broken antehumeral stripes. Here’s an American Ischnura species, which the Americans refer to as Forktails, with something very similar. Rarely, the stripes may apparently be complete.
We found this species at a couple of locations during our late season 2024 visit to Richmond, Va.
