This is also sometimes known as the Eastern White-faced Darter.
This was a result of my 2024 trip to the Netherlands in search of the Irish Damselfly (Coenagrion lunulatum). How Irish is that? My helpful local guide showed me all five European Whiteface species so it became know as my Whiteface Tour.
This is a very handsome species, very similar to the Lilypad Whiteface (Leucorrhinia caudalis) in coloration but larger and without the strongly clubbed abdomen.
