The Nannophlebia species (Archtails) are delightful, rather small Anisoptera, some representatives of which also occur in Indonesia and New Guinea. This one, N. eludens (Elusive Archtail), however, is endemic to Northern Australia, as is my other Australian Nannophlebia, N. risi (Common Archtail).
We encountered a few of these during FNQ 2022 but just one or two N. risi.
