A delightful creature limited to the more southerly areas of the UK. We have a population at our local Sandhouse Lane NR. The males have an intriguing habit of dangling their white legs in flight to display them to other males.

- ♂ – body all pale blue, narrow black markings along dorsal side of abdomen
- ♂ – legs white with black lines above tibia, very feathered
- ♀ – quite pale yellow-green body colour with paired black dots on dorsal side of S2-6
