Here’s the second of the two confusing Pseudagrion species in some necks of the woods, the other being P. australasiae. P. microcephalum is the more common, in Singapore, at least. Further confusion is added by the same species being referred to as the Blue Riverdamsel in Australia, where it is widespread.
I’m reasonably confident about these SE Asia ids because the longer (compared to P. australasiae) upper appendages can be clearly seen, as can the thicker black suture line between abdominal segments 8 & 9.
The freshly emerged female is from Sri Lanka.
