This one is endemic to south-eastern Australia including parts of Tasmania.
This was a new find for me on our 2024 trip. I saw a single cooperative male first at Yackandandah. Later in the trip we visited Mount Buffalo to have a picnic beside Lake Catani. A few individuals visited the bushes near our picnic table but when I went down to the water’s edge I found the vegetation in the shallows swarming with them, so the common name of Swamp Tigertail my well be apposite. Sadly, though, I didn’t find a female despite all the males holding territory.
